Education reform is an ongoing process. In Taiwan, the most concerned issues during these year is the extension of basic compulsory education from 9 years to 12 years, and the construction of the national curricula guide for elementary schools, junior high schools and senior high schools. The national curricula guide will be implemented in 2018. Curricula for students with special needs is for the first time included in the national curricula guide in Taiwan. The authors leaded a team to construct the special curricula guide for the gifted and talented students. In this presentation, we will introduce the construction and content of the affective curriculum, which is one of the curricula for the gifted and talented students. The affective curriculum guide is developed under the framework of 12-year basic education curricula guide.
